UHC2030 joint vision progress

Sierra Leone joined IHP+ in 2010. The National Health Sector Strategic Plan runs from 2010 - 2015. Sierra Leone's country compact was finalized in December 2011 and signed by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, ten development partners and four civil society organizations. There is work in progress to strengthen monitoring of the national health plan, and harmonize and align fiduciary risk assessments. An IHP+ country grant has primarily supported the development of the compact. A national CSO, Shepherd’s Hospice, received a Health Policy Action Fund grant in 2010. In 2012, Save the Children UK in Sierra Leone became a HPAF grantee. Sierra Leone participated in the 3rd round of monitoring progress against compact commitments by IHP+Results.
